I am alive and doing well

Life has been great since sabbatical started. After 5 years working in the high tech field, I can honestly say that I was very brunt out. More importantly, I didn't LOVE what I was doing... sure the pay is decent, people are great, I am good at the job, but I wasn't happy.

The first week of unemployment was awkward. I didn't know what to do with all the free time. I reorganized kitchen cabinets, clean the house, and more cleaning... I've also been babysitting Nathan a lot. I love spending time with him, it makes me to focus on the important things in life.

I've also started practicing Bikram yoga. It's been really great and I try to go at least 5 times a week - I highly recommend it if you can get pass the heat (the studio is kept at 100 degrees minimum.)

ok.. time to run some errands, have a great week everyone.

Be careful what you wish for...

Wedding plans are slowly coming together.

I've been running around like a headless chicken since beginning of this year. Interviewing vendors, visiting ceremony locations, fabric shopping, and house searching while working 40+hrs a week. We decided not to use a wedding planner because we feel we can do all the research and foot work - which is true, but oh man is it a lot of work.

In the mist of  it all, my car decided to join the party and added a few more items to my list of endless errands. First was the battery, then alternator and tires... luckily it's still under factory warranty and most of the repairing work is covered.

I've been telling friends how stressful it is to have a full-time job and trying to plan a wedding at the same time. As much as we try to enjoy the planning process, stress is inevitable. Guess what! Someone up there heard my prayers alright. I will officially be unemployed at the end of this month. Shocking? maybe. Scared? a little. Happy? hell yea! I look at it as a great opportunity to search for something I love doing. I can take on any odd jobs I am curious enough to explore into and learn as much as I can. Less money of course, but the feeling of loving the work you do tops everything else!

wish me luck!
